Pocknell Studio was tasked with the creation of a name, brand identity and retail interior for a new type of fast, lunchtime offer - the piada, or piadine - a new product to the UK. The brief also called for a solution that allowed for a quick roll-out once the first stores had demonstrated the model worked.

By using the product name as the business name we quickly familiarised customers with a new word and brought it into everyday parlance. Coupled with a Futurist inspired brand mark and stylish, comfortable interiors PIADA soon became the lunch of choice for office workers looking for an alternative to sandwiches. PIADA opened two more stores after the first year of trading and now operates in three locations in the City.
