Lina Stores

Our brief called for a contemporary, flexible retail space in limited physical space without losing the original friendliness and familiarity of the original store following the purchase of the business by new owners.

A chilled main servery was designed to accommodate all the fresh produce and, beneath the open display, chilled cupboards provide ample storage for replacement stock. The entire length of the back wall was racked out with shelving, each shelf being adjustable to allow for a wide variety of products from small tins to large boxes.

Butchers blocks act as central display areas and the front window contains a purpose made display table inspired by Italian farmhouse kitchen tables.

The shop remains the institution it always was but now attracts the new breed of young food enthusiasts as well as all the regulars from the last 60 years.
